New marina in Cyprus in Paralimni

A new marina project in Paralimni with a budget of about 110 million euros will be implemented by PMV Maritime Holdings. Implementation of the plans will begin in about two months.
Now the project is at the stage of obtaining permission from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Urban Development. According to the schedule, the construction work itself will begin in October 2020. Marina in Paralimni will become a new pier for ships and yachts and a place of attraction for tourists. One of the goals of the project is to overcome the seasonality of rest in Paralimni and the freezing of the city during the winter. Port infrastructure will be created in 18 months, about 300 yachts will be able to accommodate in the marina. In a year, the commercial infrastructure will be commissioned, it will include cafes, restaurants and shops – a total of 18 outlets. Then a year and a half will be needed to complete the construction of residential buildings and villas.
The project will be implemented in collaboration with PMV Maritime Holdings, J&P and Marina Projects Ltd. The architectural project was prepared by the British company Harper Downie Creative Architecture, landscaping was developed by specialists from Camlins. In addition to housing and shops, government offices will also be located here: port police, customs, migration service, medical and veterinary services, department of the drug control service.
Recall that marinas are being built or planned in all coastal cities of Cyprus. In Ayia Napa, work is already underway; the opening is scheduled for October 2021. In Larnaca, the marina and port modernization project was approved last week, and Kition Ocean Holdings will take up the matter. Marina Paphos is also in the process of harmonization.
