Houses in Cyprus - the most spacious in Europe

According to data from the Statistics Department of Cyprus, the area of a typical home of a resident of the country is 141 sq. Km. m., which is the highest in Europe (the average for Europe is 95 sq. m, while the smallest houses in Romania are 44 sq. m.).
Also noteworthy are the following:
1. The number of people in Cyprus who do not have their own housing is only 1% of the total population of the country.
2. The indicator of overpopulation of dwellings is very low – almost 1.5%.
3. Only 4% of Cypriots spend housing (rent or mortgage) more than 40% of their income. For comparison, in Greece this indicator is more than 40%!
